Import locally
Choose an image or PDF from your device. Blivion opens supported files in the browser so everyday redaction work does not require an upload.
Private redaction service
Blivion is a local-first PDF redaction, image redaction, and metadata remover for sensitive files. Open a file in your browser, cover what needs to disappear, remove metadata, and export a safer copy before sharing.
Want the practical limits before using it on real files? Read the safety notes.
Blur and pixelate remain useful, but the interface keeps calling them what they are: obfuscation, not safe redaction.
Redaction workflow
Blivion keeps the common job simple: open the file, cover what must be gone, export, and review the result.
Choose an image or PDF from your device. Blivion opens supported files in the browser so everyday redaction work does not require an upload.
Use solid redaction when content needs to be gone in the exported file. Blur and pixelate remain available, but they are labeled as weaker protection.
Move, resize, zoom, pan, and tune regions until the preview matches what you expect. Blivion keeps edits mapped to the source file for accurate export.
Generate a fresh image or cleaned PDF and run the metadata check again. Blivion preserves native PDF structure when it can prove the redaction safely.
Common tasks
The editor supports both jobs, but the safest workflow depends on what you need removed before sharing.
Paste a copied screenshot, cover private emails or IDs with solid marks, and keep useful public details readable in the download.
Redact a screenshotRedact sensitive PDF text, images, IDs, and document sections locally, with native PDF export when Blivion can verify it.
Redact a PDFRemove EXIF, GPS, image metadata, and supported PDF metadata, then download a verification certificate with the cleaned export.
Remove metadataCompare an original overlay failure with corrected downloads, then repeat the redaction and saved-file checks on a fictional PDF.
Inspect the PDF blackout exampleReview the account, URL, path, sidebar and notification around an error. Our fictional walkthrough preserves the debugging context in an actual protected download.
Review a public troubleshooting screenshotMachine-readable copies need separate attention: compare printed-only marks with both QR codes covered in the boarding-pass screenshot walkthrough. Its invalid fictional illustration contains no travel credential.
Clean supported GPS metadata, then review visible labels and reflections. Compare actual saved JPEG/PNG outputs from a fictional listing example.
Review a listing photo’s location cluesMark the visible field without adding OCR. Compare fictional image-only and OCR-layer scans, including actual two-page exports and saved-file review.
Redact a scan without selecting textInspect a fictional schedule pack, real source-to-output ZIP mappings and a moved-contact failure. Review each file before reusing a mark.
Review a PDF contact-block batchA reference can repeat on several pages or appear only in image pixels. Find known text across PDF pages before marking and inspect an actual incomplete download that search misses.
Working files can be embedded inside a PDF rather than printed on its pages. Inspect document-listed and page-level attachment cleanup with an original, a deliberately incomplete deletion and actual saved PDFs.
Protection choices
Blivion includes softer visual tools, but it keeps real redaction clearly separated from weaker obfuscation.
Use this when text, IDs, faces, or document sections need irreversible removal in the exported image or PDF.
Useful for presentation or softer concealment, but it should not be treated like safe redaction when the stakes are high.
Good for coarse masking in a visual workflow, but still weaker than true redaction and easy to misuse if the UI does not say so plainly.
The exported file is checked again so hidden metadata does not survive simply because the visible edit looked correct on screen.
Privacy posture
Blivion keeps sensitive work close to the browser and makes the export step explicit, so you know which file is safe to review and share.
The normal editor path runs in the browser. Sensitive images and PDFs do not need to leave your device just to be redacted.
Rectangular PDF redactions use Blivion's native engine first. If a file needs visual fidelity instead, the editor falls back to a flattened PDF rebuild.
Blivion focuses on images, PDFs, metadata cleanup, and batch preparation so the privacy model stays understandable.
Why it matters
When sensitive files are involved, clear defaults matter. Blivion is designed to make the safer path visible without slowing down ordinary cleanup work.
A black box on screen only matters if the exported file no longer contains the pixels underneath it.
Blivion leads with true redaction, local processing, and verification so the safest common path is the easiest one to choose.
Redaction services work best when their limits are visible. Blivion keeps advanced formats and server workflows out of the default path.
